Beckie-Lou * was named after Rebecca (14 ) and Lucy (12) Hassell who tragically died in a car accident in October 2005 alongside Dick Lubbe, childhood friend of Johan Heemskerk (Beekenkamp Plants) The variety royalties of Beckie-Lou * were donated in the first year to the Charity RoadPeace. This organization supports victims of car accidents.
